Do I need an account to use WatchTrack?

Yes, a free account is required to save your watchlist and progress across all your devices. You can also explore the app in guest mode from the Demo page, but your actions won't be saved without signing up.

How do I install the app on mobile?

On iPhone or Android, open WatchTrack in your browser and add it to your home screen from the browser menu. It installs as a PWA without an app store.

How do I track my progress?

Add a show or movie to your list, open its page, and check off episodes as you watch. Your status (watching, caught up, completed…) updates automatically. Movies can be marked watched with a rewatch counter.

Can I import my TV Time data?

Yes. Export your data from TV Time (GDPR or Liberator export), then import the ZIP file from WatchTrack's Import page to recover your shows, checked episodes, and comments (GDPR export only for comments).

Is my data private?

By default, your profile is private. Your watchlist, library, and progress are only visible to you. The app (dashboard, personal pages, settings) is not indexed by search engines. Only content you choose to make public — comments on media pages, or an enabled social profile — is visible to other signed-in users.

What is the social profile?

WatchTrack offers an optional social layer: Pulse (activity feed from people you follow), Chronicles (your activity journal), and profiles viewable by other members. Nothing is enabled without your action — your profile stays private until you turn it on in Settings → Social profile.

What happens when I make my profile public?

Your @username, #tag, bio, tracking stats (shows, movies, episodes, hours), follows, and Chronicles become visible to other signed-in users. You can be followed and appear in your followers' Pulse. Public profiles are not indexed on Google — they remain accessible only inside the app, to signed-in users. Only your #tag is permanent; @username can be changed at most once every 90 days.

What if I keep a private profile?

You use WatchTrack in solo mode: no Pulse, no social Chronicles, no follows. You keep all personal tracking (watchlist, progress, stats). You can switch back to private at any time after going public; your follows are then removed.

Who can see my comments?

Accepted Answer

Comments you post on show, movie, or episode pages can be read by other signed-in WatchTrack users. They may appear in Pulse and Chronicles if your profile is public. Avoid posting sensitive personal information.

How do I export my data (GDPR)?

Accepted Answer

From Settings → Account, click "Export my data" to immediately download a JSON file with your watchlist, progress, profile, and preferences. The export is generated on demand on your device.

How do I delete my account?

In Settings → Account, the "Delete my account" section permanently removes your personal data from our servers. Username confirmation is required. This action cannot be undone.

Where are the legal notice and privacy policy?

The legal notice, privacy policy, terms of use, and the Cookies and trackers page are now available from the public footer and from Settings → Legal. To exercise your rights (access, export, deletion), use the tools in Settings → Account.
