Terms of use

Purpose

These terms of use govern access to and use of the WatchTrack website and application.

By using WatchTrack, you accept these terms in the version in force on the date of use.

About the service

WatchTrack is a web application used to track shows and movies, manage a watchlist, record progress, publish reactions and comments, and enable optional social features.

The service is currently offered free of charge. However, WatchTrack may evolve some features, access conditions, or business models in the future, including paid or restricted features.

Access to the service and user account

Some WatchTrack features require a user account. You are responsible for the minimum accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your sign-in methods confidential.

You agree not to impersonate third parties, bypass the service authentication mechanisms, or misuse account sharing.

Social features and visibility

By default, a user profile remains private. Public social features, such as the public profile, Pulse, Chronicle, follows, and some published content, only become visible after you voluntarily enable the relevant settings.

You understand that comments, reactions, GIFs, images, bio, and other public elements may be seen by other signed-in users according to the product rules.

Usage rules

You agree to use WatchTrack lawfully, fairly, and in a way that remains compatible with the proper operation of the service.

• Do not publish unlawful content, or content that is clearly abusive, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing on third-party rights.
• Do not misuse the platform for spam, abusive automation, unauthorized scraping, fraud, or technical disruption.
• Do not bypass technical, security, or access limitations put in place on the service.

User-published content

You remain responsible for the content you publish on WatchTrack, including comments, reactions, images, GIFs, bio, and profile elements.

By publishing content on the service, you represent that you have the rights or authorization needed to share it in that context.

Moderation

WatchTrack may remove, hide, limit, or delete content, an account, or a feature in case of unlawful, abusive, or clearly incompatible use with the proper operation of the service.

Moderation remains intentionally light in this version of the terms and is handled case by case, especially after a report or where there is an obvious risk to users or the service.

Intellectual property

WatchTrack-specific elements, including the interface, original copy, service structure, and distinctive graphic elements, remain protected by applicable intellectual property rules.

Catalog content, visuals, brands, and metadata coming from third-party services remain the property of their respective owners.

Third-party services

Some WatchTrack features rely on third-party services, notably for the catalog, authentication, hosting, notifications, GIFs, or translation.

WatchTrack does not guarantee the continued availability or unchanged operation of those third-party services.

Availability and service changes

WatchTrack is provided as is, with a reasonable objective of quality and continuity, but without any guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or continuously available.

The service may be modified, suspended, interrupted, or updated, in whole or in part, for technical, product, security, maintenance, or project-evolution reasons.

Account deletion and end of access

You may request deletion of your account using the tools made available in WatchTrack where that feature exists.

WatchTrack may also suspend or terminate a user's access in case of a serious breach of these terms or an obvious risk to the service.

Personal data

The processing of personal data carried out as part of the service is described in the WatchTrack Privacy policy.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will first try to reach an amicable solution before starting formal legal proceedings, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that may apply.
